The parish church of Imst is located in the town of Imst in Tyrol. The Roman Catholic parish church of the Assumption of Mary belongs to the deanery of Imst in the diocese of Innsbruck. The late Gothic hall church, the main work of the Imst construction guild, is a protected monument.
In 1260, a pastor is documented for the first time, and a church was consecrated in 1350. In 1462, a new building of the church began with Master Heinrich from the Imst construction guild, and in 1493 the nave was completed with Master Jörg and the church was consecrated. In 1780, the inventory was baroque-style updated. After a fire, the church was newly vaulted in 1822. At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, the Gothic elements were uncovered and historicizing additions were made. The church was restored in 1970.
