Mountain air with the scent of the meadows. Not only is there fascinating nature in all alpine altitudes to discover in Kaunergrat Nature Park, but traditional cultural landscapes too. The Pitztal Alpine Trail connects five huts: the Söllberg Alm, Mauchele Alm, Neuberg Alm, Tiefental Alm and Arzler Alm. They all lie at an altitude of around 1,800 metres and offer wonderful views of the Pitztal Valley and Kaunergrat. Predominantly stocked with young cattle, the Mauchele Alm above the village of St. Leonhard in Pitztal is a charming alpine farm where hikers and mountain bikers gather on beautiful summer days.
The Mauchele Alm is best accessed from the St. Leonhard district of Rehwald. The trail from Alpengasthof Felsenhof to the alpine farm is also suitable for pushchairs.
