Wasserwelt Tux

How much water do humans need? What are "thermal springs"? These are just some of the many questions answered along the "Wasserwelt Tux" themed walking trail in the Zillertal Valley. Accompanied by mascot "Luis the Glacier Flea", both adults and children alike can learn about the power of water and how it can transform into many different forms. There are plenty of interactive elements to try out along the way. This is one of six themed trails in the area. The others look at nature, fauna, glaciers, flora and gorges.
This flat path suitable for buggies begins at the bottom station of the Hintertuxer Glacier cable cars. Following the Tuxbach stream, walkers head in a north-easterly direction to the thermal springs and on to Hintertux. Shortly before reaching the village, the trail leads through a tunnel, then past the church and down to the Tuxbach stream. The way back then also leads once again along the stream back to the cable cars, passing several interactive stations along the way. Once back at the starting point, there is just one more thing to see: the waterfall of the Tuxbach stream.
