This 20km ride of intermediate difficulty is ideal for beginners. The main highlight is the Kronburgschlucht, an impressive canyon measuring just a few metres in width but up to 70 metres in depth. Riders can also visit the pilgrimage church close to the ruins of the mighty fortress perched high above the valley. The ride contains no difficult sections and is easy for experienced riders.
This 2 ½ hour ride takes riders along the cycle path to Zams and then via Rifenal up to Kronburg. The Kronburg fortress was built in 1380 and is still well worth the short walk. The trail then continues down along the road to the village of Schönwies and back along the Inn Valley Cycle Path to the starting point. Electric bikes can be hired on site. Recharging stations are available at Peto Bike, Zammer Lochputz, Sport Camp Tirol and the Naturparkhaus Kaunergrat.
