From Volders, the route follows a bike path along the Inn River. All the way to Innsbruck. From there, it continues on a quiet and very gradually ascending road to the Brenner Pass. After crossing the border, we follow the valley south towards Lake Garda and then to Verona. The train takes us to Bologna, as the Po Valley seems too boring to us. From Bologna, we ascend over the Apennine Ridge and our Tuscan cycling adventure begins, ending in Florence.
