This beautiful 19 km walk starts in Reith on a small parking lot along the Donnersbach river. From there leads a quiet forest road up to the Alpasteig, a steep staircase-like and rocky path to the Alpa Alm.
Along the Reiter Alm and Guggenbichl you finally reach the Neue Traunsteiner Hütte.
The hike to the hut on the plateau is easy and simple.
Return along route 474, the Schrecksattel, Schrecksteig and the 'Route der Klammen' to Reith. It is a beautiful route, but it feels much longer than it really is.
