Lofer - Von Schmidt-Zabierow Hûtte

This hike from the Lofer high valley to the Von Schmidt-Zabierow-Hütte (1,966m) is a very impressive mountain experience.
From Lofer, follow the 311 and turn left into the Lofer high valley. The narrow road leads to a parking lot where the hike begins.
The steep path is marked with the number 601 and leads through a beech forest up into the karst mountains, from where you can catch a first glimpse of the Schmidt-Zabierow hut.
The mountain scenery is spectacular and very dramatic.
The walk from the parking lot to the cabin takes 4 to 6 hours.
