This walk is an ode to Beethoven, linked to the place where he stayed: Heiligenstadt. Here you literally follow in the footsteps of Beethoven.
Beethoven left for Heiligenstadt so that he could visit the mineral-containing spring for his ailments. This was in the period from May to October 1802. He stayed here at a time when he was suicidal and in severe depression. He also wrote the second version of his Fidelio and his second symphony in Heiligenstadt. With this walk you literally step in the footsteps of this celebrity.
