One of the places where it was thought the panel of the Just Judges could be found was the Geraard Duivelsteen. The suspicion is that the panel was hidden in a public place after it was stolen. Since this was one of the public places near St. Bavo's, and more specifically very close to the Veyt chapel where the Lamb of God was located, this building was searched multiple times. However, the "unknown key" found in the residence of A. Goedertier (the main suspect of the theft) did not fit any of the doors of this building.
