Description

Because the Kravaalbos has never been intensively cultivated, the soil is pristine. That is why you will find a rich flora here in spring. Then forest anemones and wild hyacinths form colorful carpets between the trees. There is also larkspur and dotter flower.
In wet areas grow fescue, marsh fritillaria and dotter flower, in lean areas forest anemone and spotted arum. Many animals come to live there, including the rare wasp thief, stacked and medium-sized woodpeckers, black woodpeckers and fire salamanders.
Easier to spot are the buzzard, tawny owl, nuthatch, red squirrel and deer.
