The Hantes is a Belgian-French small river that originates in Froidchapelle and flows into the Samber near Labuissière. The river therefore belongs to the Meuse basin. The average flow rate at the mouth is 1.8 m³ per second.
After Froidchapelle, the Hantes flows through Fourbechies, Renlies, Solre-Saint-Géry, and Beaumont. It then enters France, passing through the villages of Reugnies and Bousignies-sur-Roc, before crossing the border again at Montignies-Saint-Christophe. Here, it flows under the ancient Romanesque bridge. Via Hantes-Wihéries, it flows to Labuissière where it empties into the Samber.
