Castle Ter Zinkt

Source: Patrick Creyf

Description

The ancient castle was originally a medieval fortress. It was the seat of the lordship of Munte and thus the residence of the lords of Munte from the 11th to the mid-15th century. The castle has withstood many enemy assaults and was partially destroyed in later wars, but was renovated around 1900.
Near the sandstone entrance gate, we see the castle farm, which dates back to the 16th or 17th century.

The castle and the estate are not open to the public.
