The Soor is an unnavigable little river that springs from the place Duret, a part of the peat area Fagne des Deux-Séries, where the soil is hard and peatless. This peat area is part of the nature reserve Hoge Venen, which spans more than 4000 hectares. The Soor meanders in numerous bends through the Hertogenwoud and flows, a few kilometers south of Eupen, together with the Hill.
