Picturesquely situated on an old Lys bend stands the monumental Flemish hall church of Saint Michael, Cornelius and Ghislenus. The earliest parts date from the 13th and 14th centuries. From 1642 the church was rebuilt in several phases. In 1861, the spire was
destroyed and repaired by a thunderstorm. The church and the surrounding area including the old rectory have been protected since 1979.
The 40 m long Wall of Imagination by Roger Raveel can be seen as a triptych.
