Town hall in neoclassical style designed by the Brussels architect Antoine Trappeniers, with foundation stone laid on 15 May 1870 and inauguration on 11 May 1873, see plaques in the hall, the year MDCCCLXX (1870) in the façade and the building plans preserved at the City Works Department; already registered with the land registry in 1870.
