Lommel

Lommel still has a lot of natural beauty with, among other things, beautiful dunes, the sand pits with the finest white sand in Europe, the nature reserve De Watering, the Lommelse Sahara, with
numerous forests and heathlands. Lommel is the third shopping city in Limburg with a cozy shopping center and the shopping mall De Singel.

The municipality of Lommel is located on the watershed of the river basins of the Schelde and Maas, and within these river basins of Nete and Dommel respectively.

Lommel has an extensive network of cycling routes and quite a few walking paths. For example, you can enjoy nature and protected bird and plant species in the nature areas Pijnven, Lommelse Sahara, or De Watering.

The municipality of Lommel has about thirty chapels that are spread across the various neighborhoods.
