The concrete passerelle of Expo 58 was so high that the gondolas of the cable car went under it. And it was so broad that it was dressed by landscapers such as RenÚ PechÞre. The sixty-metre-long colossus spanned the valley between the two green areas of the Expo site, the Park of Laeken and the Ossegem Park. After a good ten years, the maintenance costs became too high and the bridge was demolished. Today, only the beginning and the end are present. For example, in the Ossegempark you can still walk up the bridge with the authentic tarmac, pebble tiles and balustrades.
