For almost four hundred years, the castle of Hingene was the favorite summer residence of the noble d'Ursel family. Every summer the Duke went with family and servants to his beautiful country residence.
Now you can go there for concerts, group visits and rental for seminars, receptions or dinners. Stop by for a walk or picnic in the park. And visit the exhibitions and cultural events.
The castle houses a beautiful piece of interior history: wallpapers, wall coverings, door and fireplace pieces from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, often in oriental style.
You can admire watercolors, drawings and oil paintings of four brush princesses, noble amateur painters who lived in the castle or visited it regularly. This way you will meet the castle and its inhabitants, the great events of history and the 'petite histoire' of everyday life.
