Zoetegem is derived from Zottegem and already reveals that it will be sweet. Taverne De Moriaan in the well-known Paddestraat in Velzeke (Zottegem) is the official starting point of this 13 kilometer long driving route. In the spacious parking lot in the backyard are all facilities for driver, horse and carriage. Alternative starting places are the Egmont castle in Zottegem and the Zwalmmolen in Zwalm.
In an hourly direction it goes to the Zottegem boroughs of Strijpen and Sint-Goriks-Oudenhove. On the border of Zottegem, Zwalm and Brakel lies the Boembekemolen on the Zwalmbeek and close to the 'Mijnwerkerspad'. From there it goes to the Zwalm boroughs of Rozebeke and Roborst. Rozebeke is known for its cathedral, Roborst for its pear-shaped church tower and watercress moats. A detour along Pam Velzeke is also possible before it goes back to the Paddestraat.
