Bomal is a village in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant and a part of the municipality of Ramillies. The village is also referred to as Bomal-lez-Jodoigne, named after its location near Geldenaken, to distinguish it from the similarly named Bomal-sur-Ourthe in the province of Luxembourg. Bomal is located by the Grote Gete.
On the Ferraris map from the 1770s, the place is depicted as the village of Bommal. Just to the north, the map shows the hamlet of Bommalette, and to the south, the hamlet of Aleux. Bomelette formed a separate lordship. Laloux in the south belonged to Liège and went to the municipality of Mont-Saint-André when the municipalities were established.
