The castle, now called "De Hoef," is a three-winged building that likely dates back to the mid-17th century. The oldest parts of the building are the main living section and the eastern side wing. The western wing appears to be of more recent construction and may date from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is certain that the farm was extensively renovated in the first half of the 19th century. At that time, the large window openings were added to the main wing. Particularly on the northern side, the former moats are still clearly distinguishable. / In 1985, the Flemish Community acquired ownership, and the property was given a new purpose as a hotel-restaurant. As "Hostellerie Hof de Draeck," with stylish rooms and a high-quality kitchen, the establishment has made a name for itself since then.
