The monumental head building of the Blankenberge pier can be reached via a 350m long concrete bridge. The first version of this pier-bridge, an iron version, dates back to 1894. In 1914, the head building was set on fire by the Germans. In 1933, a concrete pier was built. In 2003, everything was completely renovated again. There is a cozy café in the head building. Regular exhibitions are also organized.
