Jo Lemaire was born in Gembloux in 1956. Her first real success is a cover of 'Je suis venue te dire que je m'en vais' by Gainsbourg, which becomes a hit all over Europe. Her first solo record, 'Concorde', also makes a strong impression. Jo Lemaire sings in French, Dutch, and English, which makes her popular in both regions of the country and also brings her considerable success outside our borders.
