Description

Hof van Steelant is one of the oldest and most interesting homesteads in Loppem. Already in the 13th century the oldest known lords of Loppem, the van Steelants, lived on this court. Of this fief, which was in the possession of the Bruges lords of Gruuthuuse in the 15th and 16th centuries, only the neerhof with farmhouse, stable and barn remains.
