Brewery De Troch is a Belgian brewery located in Wambeek, Flemish Brabant. The brewery produces gueuze beers. The brewery is housed in an old farmhouse. The estate in Wambeek was purchased on July 30, 1795, by spouses Joannes Franciscus De Troch and Theresia Cortvriendt. Previously, the estate was owned by Anna Van der Elst. A cadastral plan from 1820 indicates that there was a farmhouse-chicory roasting house-brewery established. In 1820, beer was already definitely brewed there, but the exact start date of brewing activities is unclear. In 1830, the farmhouse-brewery was taken over by Josephus Petrus De Troch and his wife Maria Anna Van Cutsem. In 1832, the cadastre provided the following description: "Brewery having 2 boilers totaling 22 barrels, 2 vessels of 31 barrels, and 2 cooling tanks, it is in good condition. They make between 20 to 30 brews of common beer annually." Pieter De Troch died in 1851. His daughter Petronella inherited the brewery. In 1857, she married her cousin Egidius De Troch. The brewery thus remained in the hands of the "De Troch" family. Between 1878 and 1885, Egidius De Troch had the brew hall built. In 1889, Louis De Troch, son of Egidius, took over the brewery. The beer was mainly sold to farmers in the surrounding area. In 1936, son Louis De Troch took over the business. He had no children and was the last De Troch in the brewery. Since 1974, the brewery has been in the hands of Jos Raes and his wife Myriam Vanderhasselt. Jos Raes is the son of Raymond Raes and Magdalena De Troch. The farmhouse was ceased in 1974. In 2002, son Pauwel Raes joined the business.
