The white mountain mill was erected around 1880 to replace a wooden post mill from 1738. A few years ago, the original mill, which showed cracks and fissures, was demolished and completely rebuilt several dozen meters further away. The plain in front of the mill was used at that time as a setting in the film 'De Vlaschaard'. There is also the lookout tower (Verrekijker) that served as an observation post for German troops during World War I.
