To-do: The fort of Haasdonk is part of the perimeter of forts (position) around Antwerp that was built before World War I.
The fort did not see action in World War I. After World War I, the fort was declared unsuitable and served only as a storage facility; it did not see action in World War II either.
Fact: The fort now serves as a wintering reserve for bats. It is the only place where the German Felty herb grows. The fort is not accessible.
