Gembes is a village in the Belgian province of Luxembourg and a part of the municipality of Daverdisse. The village is located almost five kilometers southwest of the center of Daverdisse.
Gembes is the most important village in the valley of the Almache. It is located on a hill overlooking the rivers Almache and Rancenne. His present territory used to depend on the Duke of Bouillon on the one hand, and on the Duke of Luxembourg on the other. This explains why there are two mills in Gembes: the mill of Gembes at the confluence of the Almache and the Rancenne, and the old mill of Mont sur la Rancenne.
