Adinkerke is located in the Westhoek, by the Nieuwpoort-Duinkerke canal. To the west of the village center, towards France, lies a dune belt, while the rest of the territory is polder land.
In Adinkerke is the amusement park Plopsaland, formerly known as the Meli. The Military Cemetery of Adinkerke consists of a Belgian military cemetery from World War I and a British military cemetery with graves from both world wars. The Roman Catholic parish and church are named after Saint Audomarus. The Saint Audomarus Church is a neo-Gothic hall church. The Romanesque church tower dates partially from the 12th century.
