Saint-Vaast is a place in the Belgian province of Hainaut and a part of the city of La Louvière. The place has more than 6000 inhabitants. As part of Saint-Vaast, the city of La Louvière emerged in the nineteenth century, where Saint-Vaast itself became a part in 1977. Various findings from prehistory have been made in Saint-Vaast. The Romanesque church dates back to the 12th century but was partially destroyed by the French in 1643.
