Vroenhoven is a district of the municipality of Riemst in the Belgian province of Limburg. The village, formerly known as Montenaken, is located near the Belgian-Dutch national border close to Maastricht and has 1,518 inhabitants, a significant portion of whom hold Dutch nationality.
In Vroenhoven, artifacts from Bandkeramik culture have been found at two locations, namely in Heukelom and near the water tower. From the Roman period, there are remains of a tumulus, remnants of a villa, and a coin find. The Roman main road has not yet been excavated in Vroenhoven.
