Leke is a village in the municipality of Diksmuide, in the Belgian province of West Flanders. It is a rural residential village with just over 1100 inhabitants. The village centre is located 8 kilometres from the centre of Diksmuide.
Leke is located on the border of the West Flemish polder area and Zandlemig Vlaanderen at an altitude of about 3 meters. Although earlier occupation cannot be excluded, Leke was not mentioned in writing until 1119. The name is said to come from Germanic Laku and to indicate a swampy area. In 1145 Leke was already an independent parish that was split off from that of Vladslo. The right of patronage rested with St. Peter's Abbey in Ghent. Administratively, Leke remained part of the seigneury of Ter Heyde, which had its seat in Vladslo.
