The picturesque church was completely restored and painted in 2007. The covering of the various roofs has been completely renewed with slates from Galicia and a new spire has been installed. The church has often been worked on in the past. The actual church is said to have been built in classicist style in the middle of the eighteenth century, but has undergone many changes since then. The walled cemetery has survived the many renovations.
