Description

Patron saint Saint Sebastian was worshipped there at the time against the plague that raged among the cattle and every year there is an equestrian intercourse that is held in his honor on the third Sunday of June. His church is a bit hidden in the village square. It is classicist in style, dating from 1792-94, but the tower has been there for a lot longer: from the beginning of the 16th century. Inside it is full of art treasures such as the painting from 1966, 'The Adoration of the Shepherds', on which the arms of Petrus Blondel, lord of Sint-Maria-Oudenhove and Michelbeke can be seen.
