The Tomp is the remnant of a tower mill near Achel, Belgium. It is located in the Lange Els nature reserve, not far from the Warmbeek.
The Tomp dates from the first half of the 15th century and for a long time there was doubt about the purpose that the ruin originally had: the remains of a tower mill or the castle tower of a castle. In 1968 this ruin was wrongly restored as if it were a castle tower. It was not until the 90s of the 20th century that it was concluded, partly through comparative research with other tower mills, that it was a mill remnant.
