Description

A bit of the road is a fen, the Pinnekenswijer. In warm and sunny weather between April and July, the Nordic white-beaked libel flies around the fen. When the dragonfly is sunbathing, you can recognize it by its white snout. And what do you think of the other dragonflies with sounding names like moon damselfly or emerald. On the banks of the fen are the rare swamp wolf's claw or the carnivorous sundew.

Such clearings in the forest also attract special birds such as nightjar, tree falcon and tree lark.
