Description

The chapel of the chêne à l'image. This tree would be the only one left after a major fire and this is where the fire would have stopped. People from the surrounding villages burn candles here and bring flowers to reinforce their prayers. It would also be an "arbre à clous" ie. a tree in which nails are driven to help with toothache. The tree is about 10 meters from the road and if you follow the path through the forest to avoid the muddy road, you can easily walk past it. It is the highest point in the area (225 m).
