The original medieval Romanesque church at the location where the cemetery now lies was replaced at the end of the 19th century by an impressive Neo-Gothic church designed by British architect W.C. Brangwyn and based on the architectural plans of H. Jaminé. The St. Peter's Church can now be admired again in all its glory and color after a successful restoration process in recent years under the expert guidance of architect Bernard de Schaetzen.
