Situated in the upper part of the village, where one has a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside from a ridge, the church of Saint Martin, a fine surprise for those who enjoy small rural Romanesque churches, is sober and invites contemplation.
The main part of the building is 12th century Romanesque with the exception of the choir and the side portal, framed by 2 lions of justice. Inside, the golden sandstone and the green red and blue of the stained glass windows in the choir provide a feeling of warmth and intimacy. The ceiling is in oak and there are some interesting interior fittings: the pulpit and on the right an altar piece in white stone from France depicting the legend of Saint Hubert.
Finally, the organs, restored in 1968, are among the best in the region. They give a B flat tone which is much appreciated by organists. The acoustics of the building are exceptional and many concerts are given there.
