Standard windmill from 1773 of the type three-floor, which means that there is an extra floor; the 'hell' was provided under the grain floor, where the flour was ground. The mill was transferred from Torhout in 1921. The mill was operated until 1975. The mill - also known as Berghe’s mill named after the miller family Vandenberghe - is owned by the municipality of Kortemark and has been protected since April 14, 1944.
