In this plot, mature American oaks were cut down: the wood was used for floors and furniture. Sweet cherry and hornbeam were planted, but spontaneous development is also given a chance here. In addition to the natural value of the forest and its importance for recreation, the Vrijbos is also important for the production of quality wood. The pollard trees here consist of beech, winter linden, and summer oak.
