Native trees

Source: Misjel Decleer

Description

In the Preshoek forest only native trees grow, such as the pedunculate oak, the common ash, the black alder, the hornbeam, the birch and the beech. Shrubs are planted around the forests such as Gelderland rose, hawthorn, blackthorn and hazel. This means that the ecological value will increase as the forest ages. Small and slightly larger animals have already found their way, for example the butterflies orange tip, variegated sandeye, map and brown blue.
