The stone mill of Naveau stood along the N29. This windmill served as an observation point for Napoleon on the morning of June 16, 1815 during the Battle of Ligny. At the foot of the mill is another monument in honor of the three French victories. To start with, there was the battle of July 1, 1690, in which the French troops of the Maréchal de Luxembourg faced a coalition of almost all other European countries. Then there is the most famous, that of June 26, 1794, in which the French revolutionary army fought a Dutch-Austrian coalition, and finally that of June 16, 1815, two days before Waterloo. This last confrontation only applies to part of the territory because the battle of Fleurus/Ligny took place in different municipalities.
