Description

Here you have to follow the blue walk on the left towards play orchard, but take a look at the hollow road to your right. Do you notice how lush the embankments of this hollow road are? This is the ideal path for the acorn mouse to move from one place to another. The ANB has widened these wood edges by planting extra shrubs on top of the embankments, i.e. in the orchards, over a width of 6 meters. In summer it is teeming with wild bees, butterflies, hoverflies and other insects. Together with the seeds and fruits, this hollow road is a richly set table for birds, bats and small mammals.
