The Leyssensmolen is a standerdmolen in Kattenbos in the Belgian municipality of Lommel. It is also called Treitermolen or Kattenbossermolen.
The mill was built in 1797 and was originally located in Olmen. It was built by the owner of a water mill, namely the Straalmolen, as a protest against the establishment near the so-called 'free mills', which could arise when the delicious rights, and thus the ban mills, were abolished in French times. One of these free mills was the Heimolen, another standard mill. That is why the Leyssensmolen was also called the taunting mill. It has always served as a grist mill. The Straalmolen was owned by the Leyssens family.
