The church tower of Lede has tempted you to stray from the route for a moment and you have unexpectedly found yourself in the Flemish village of yesteryear. Churchgoers would quench their thirst at In den Hert after mass. As you can see, that name still subtly appears on the façade, even though this building has been called 't Huis van Lede since 2004. The bar was then replaced by the stove of chef Frederick Dhooghe. Together with his wife Joke, he adds a gastronomic dimension to this beautiful village square with the delicacies he conjures up on the plate.
