The Saint-Michel Priory of Sart-les-Moines in Charleroi was founded in the early 12th century and was rebuilt in 1732. Transformed into a farm and tannery in 1804, the buildings regained their initial religious purpose in 1903 with the arrival of the Assumptionist fathers from France. It was abandoned in 1955. Classified in 1986 and restored starting in the 1990s, it is currently a residential area.
