The COOVI Metrostation was used in the "Wikileaks" movie The Fifth Estate. The Fifth Estate is a 2013 biographical thriller film directed by Bill Condon, about the news-leaking website WikiLeaks. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch as its editor-in-chief and founder Julian Assange, and Daniel Brühl as its former spokesperson Daniel Domscheit-Berg. In the scene shot in the COOVI Metrostation, they are both stepping out. Thery are on the run after Bradley Manning (later known as Chelsea Manning) leaks hundreds of thousands of documents to WikiLeaks, including a video of an airstrike in Baghdad, the Afghan and Iraq War Logs, and 250,000 US Diplomatic Cables.
You can clearly recognize the large wall pictures of the COOVI Metrostation, showing a guy pointing at you. What's funny is that you hear a voice speaking Dutch with a Dutch (not a Flemmish) accent. The say something about platform 4, that doesn't exist at COOVI Metrostation.
