Fernand Cocq Square is a lively square in Ixelles. It was originally called Leopold Square, then Municipal Square following its widening, and it was dedicated in 1920 to the lawyer Fernand Cocq, who was a long-time alderman of Public Instruction, mayor from 1918 to 1921, and father of the painter Suzanne Cocq. He was also a deputy, Minister of Justice, and a high-ranking dignitary of Freemasonry.
