La piazza Fernand Cocq è una piazza animata di Ixelles. Inizialmente era chiamata piazza Leopoldo, poi piazza Comunale a seguito della sua ampliamento, e nel 1920 fu dedicata all'avvocato Fernand Cocq, a lungo assessore all'Istruzione pubblica, sindaco dal 1918 al 1921 e padre della pittrice Suzanne Cocq. Fu anche deputato, ministro della Giustizia e alto dignitario della massoneria.
